Washington, DC -- NEA Chairman Rocco Landesman will visit Red Wing, Minnesota, and Fargo and Wahpeton, North Dakota, December 7-8, 2011. On December 7, Chairman Landesman will visit the Anderson Center in Red Wing, a past recipient of NEA grants in support of its artist residency program. On December 8, at the invitation of the North Dakota Council on the Arts, Chairman Landesman will visit Fargo and Wahpeton, North Dakota. The City of Fargo is the recipient of an NEA Our Town grant to support a participatory public art process. Residents of a selected Fargo neighborhood will work with ecological artist Jackie Brookner to design and transform an existing stormwater detention basin into a neighborhood commons. In Wahpeton, Chairman Landesman will visit the Circle of Nations School, an NEA grantee, as well as the newly opened Red Door Art Gallery.
