Washington, DC -- NEA Chairman Rocco Landesman will visit Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, for a day of site visits and a panel discussion. Chairman Landesman is coming to North Carolina at the invitation of the Knight Foundation and the Arts & Science Council.
The chairman is traveling to the city to learn how the arts work in Charlotte to create and sustain a livable, vibrant urban center. A morning panel will explore how the arts encourage creativity and innovation to flourish in individuals and communities. After three site visits, Chairman Landesman will participate in a conversation entitled "Charlotte: Cultural Capital of the South."
