Pomerene Center for the Arts
Coshocton, Ohio $50,000
|
The NEA grant will support the creation of temporary public art installations involving local arts organizations, visiting artist teams, and community members. The installations will serve as a community development tool, bringing together residents and artists to reflect on the city's current state and to encourage further dialogue about the future of the city. Partners include Coshocton City, Pomerene Center for the Arts, Port Authority, Chamber of Commerce, and Convention and Visitor Bureau. The project will result in two public art installations and ten performances driven by collaborative teams that include both residents and visiting artists. Coshocton County has a population of 37,000.
