Artspace Projects (Minneapolis, MN)

Loveland, Colorado
$50,000

The NEA grant will support a temporary art gallery and public engagement activities related to the redevelopment of the historic Feed and Grain Building in Loveland, Colorado. Artspace Projects, Inc., will partner with KRH Group Community Revitalization Consultants, Studio Blue Bird, and other local Loveland artists to establish the gallery and to produce programming that showcases oral, photographic, and video histories of the Feed and Grain Building. In partnership with the City of Loveland, Colorado, Artspace Projects will also implement a community dialogue about the future use of the facility, engaging artists and arts organizations in identifying the community's arts space needs. Currently in predevelopment, the revitalized building will transform into a sustainable, mixed-use, community arts campus for downtown Loveland, population 68,203, providing affordable live/work space for low-income artists, artist studios, and office space for creative businesses.
