In lieu of their standard Mother's Day brunch, NAS Jacksonville took advantage of the musical offerings to instead host a Mother's Day dinner and performance. Following a reception and dinner, Orlando Opera presented their "Opera Extravaganza," a selection of hits from opera and Broadway including songs from West Side Story and excerpts from famous operas, such as Carmen. Highlights included a hilarious "Anything You Can Do" and a beautiful "Lakme," as well as the "Habanera," "Trouble in Tahiti," and "A Little Night Music," which were all crowd favorites.
