To support Darol Anger and the Republic of Strings (ROS) in performance and residency activities in central Kansas. In addition to performances, Anger and ROS will provide youth concerts and master classes in violin, viola, and cello for youth and adults from both inner-city and rural communities.

Lawrence Arts Center (aka The Lawrence Arts Center)

To support a residency program for emerging and established artists. Up to 10 artists of various disciplines will do two-week to four-month residencies and a printmaker and a ceramacist will each receive a year-long residency. Approximately 200,000 visitors will benefit from the project.

To support Ann Hamilton + Cynthia Schira, a commission for the Spencer Museum of Art. Both Hamilton (b. 1956) and Schira (b. 1934) will create works focusing on their mutual interests in the role of the hand and the meanings of thread in our culture.

William Inge Festival Foundation (aka William Inge Center for the Arts)

To support the William Inge Theatre Festival. The festival is a celebration of playwriting that takes place annually in Inge's hometown of Independence, Kansas, and will include professional development workshops, presentations of new work, open master classes, site-specific performances, and high school student matinees.
