To support the 29th annual Celebration of Black Writing in 2013. Featuring a week-long series of readings, workshops, panels, performances, discussions, and a book fair, the festival will honor Black women, such as Alice Walker, who have made significant contributions to the literary field.

To support Home: Far and Near, a festival of Asian American performances. Asian American performing artists will be presented individually as well as collaboratively in a newly developed and created ensemble work. Possible artists to be involved in the project include spoken-word artist Regie Cabico, interdisciplinary artist Robert Farid Karimi, writer/performer Dan Kwong, and solo performer/writer/filmmaker Kristina Wong.

To support Some Assembly Required: Public Art (SAR: Public), a project in which dancers and musicians engage community members in a creative response to public works of art and transform that response into a public performance. The play, with scenic design installation by Simon Harding and lighting by Maria Shaplin, chronicles the life of Lee Miller, who began her career as a Vogue model, became a muse of the Paris Surrealists, and went on to become an acclaimed World War II photographer, covering the front lines as well as the London Blitz and the liberation of Paris.

Once completed Inheritors of Burden is expected to run a year at film festivals nationwide and then be distributed to art houses and via television broadcast in the United States and Spain.
