FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Visual Arts To support ArtStreet, a community-based art education program. Designed to give homeless artists access to art-making opportunities and mentorship, the project, a partnership with the National Hispanic Heritage Cultural Center and the Harwood Art Center, will include community engagement workshops, open studio sessions, technical assistance in writing, drawing, composition, and color theory, and an accompanying exhibition and publication to document the writing and visual art making process. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Visual Arts To support Review Santa Fe, a juried photography portfolio review and exhibition. Selected documentary and fine art photographers will receive one-on-one meetings with curators, magazine editors, book publishers, and art dealers. More than 100 photographers will attend panel discussions by jury reviewers who will provide insights on professional development practices and have their work shown in a public exhibition and online gallery. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Presenting To support the creation of Dome Poems: Memory and Emergence. Commemorating New Mexico's Centennial (2012), poet Levi Romero, photographer/filmmaker Miguel Gandert, and media artist Hue Walker will create a short film to be projected at digital dome theaters including planetariums, festivals, and community events.
