FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Challenge America To support the New Zealand String Quartet (NZSQ) in residence in Central Kansas. In addition to performances, the NZSQ will provide youth concerts and master classes focused on classical and contemporary string chamber music shared with children from inner-city and rural communities. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Challenge America To support Metamorphosis, a pair of concurrent exhibits. Industrial Nature will feature the moth and lichen found-object sculptures of Michelle Stitzlein, and Many-Fold Manifolds will feature the origami sculptures of Robert J. Lang. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Theater To support extended residencies and surrounding activities in Independence, Kansas, for professional playwrights from across the country.
