To support Elemental, a research and implementation project to identify solutions for providing sustainable, affordable housing in rural Alaska. In collaboration with Renewable Energy Alaska Project, this project will include public roundtable discussions, design charrettes, and an exhibit, toolkit and master plan for a rural village.

To support an exhibition and publication featuring Dena'ina Athabascan traditional art forms. The exhibition, to include 18th- and 19th-century art works from museums in Russia, Germany, England, and Finland, will bring together for the first time, the finest examples of Dena'ina caribou clothing, quillwork, and beadwork, as well as works in bone, horn, antler, birch bark, wood, and metal.

To support the construction of Strengthening Our Community Totem Pole. Native American (Haida) Master Carver Donnie Varnell will collect stories from Native youth about the community of Saxman and work with them to incorporate these stories into a totem pole, which he and the youth will carve.

Programming includes free and ticketed concerts-- with artists such as Ingrid Jensen, Robert Dick & Ursel Schlicht, and the Jasper String Quartet-- back-to-back performances in an outdoor setting workshops, master classes, auditorium concerts for school children, lectures, and performances in outlying communities.

To support an expedition and planning of the exhibition, GYRE, that will engage artists and scientists in the global problem of marine debris. In partnership with the Anchorage Museum, a group of artists including Pam Longobardi, Mark Dion, Alexis Rockman, Andrew Hughes, and Sonya Kelliher-Combs will accompany a team of scientists aboard the ship R/V Norseman in a research expedition to expose artists to the impact of marine debris on various ecosystems.
