FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Presenting To support the Providence Youth Arts Collaborative Showcase. The project will be developed in partnership with New Urban Arts and several other local arts organizations and will include free performances, installations, and workshops for youth, and symposia for artists, educators, and community leaders. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Presenting To support the Pixilerations festival of digital arts. In partnership with the City of Providence, the festival will include installations, residencies, performances, and video screenings by artists working with digital media. Island Moving Company Newport, RI $10,000

FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Challenge America To support Open for Dancing, the creation of site-specific dances in Newport. Professional choreographers, which have included Amy Ragsdale, Janna Haigood, and Daniel McCusker, will set their pieces on dancers from the community. Related project activities will include master classes, panel discussions, and film screenings. Newport International Film Festival Newport, RI $10,000

FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Media Arts To support the 13th Newport International Film Festival. More than 100 films will be presented to an audience of approximately 10,000 people. Perishable Theater Providence, RI $10,000

FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Theater To support the 15th International Women's Playwriting Festival, led by Executive Artistic Director Vanessa Gilbert. The festival is a one-act play competition that results in world premiere productions, a printed anthology of the winning scripts, and a week-long development workshop of a full-length play written by a former festival winner. Trinity Repertory Company Providence, RI $20,000

FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Theater To support a production of Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare. Associate Director Brian McEleney will direct and star in the cast, comprised of company members and graduate students from the Brown University/Trinity Rep Consortium.
