To support the world premiere production of the musical Giant, based on the novel written in 1952, with music and lyrics by Michael John LaChiusa and book by Sybille Pearson. Artistic director Eric Schaeffer will direct the work based on the novel by Edna Ferber for 17 actors, a 12-person design team, and a 21-piece orchestra.

To support Building One World: Cultivating Community Through Dance, an initiative during the 13th annual Virginia Arts Festival. Companies to be presented include the National Theatre Ballet from Prague, the Mark Morris Dance Group, and the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company from Israel.

To support the commissioning and workshops of The Government Inspector, by composer John Musto and librettist Mark Campbell. In partnership with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, the opera will be based on the Russian comedy by playwright and novelist Nikolai Gogol.
