To support the enhancement of the council's Web site in order to improve marketing for diverse arts and cultural institutions in Greater New Haven. The site will include an interactive calendar of events and a searchable database, as well as provide access to the regional Creative Directory, a collaborative effort by the Arts Council of Greater New Haven, the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, the Regional Growth Partnership, and the Town Green Special Services District.

Aston Magna Foundation for Music and the Humanities, Inc.

To support the Aston Magna Festival, featuring period-instrument performances and educational activities. Concerts will take place during six summer weekends at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, and at Great Barrington in Massachusetts. There also will be a three-concert winter series in Great Barrington and Williamstown.

To support an adaptation for the stage of Ernest Hemingway's Pulitzer and Nobel Prize-winning 1952 novella, The Old Man and the Sea. Long Wharf Theatre's Associate Artistic Director Eric Ting will adapt the text and serve as director of the full production.

To support a new musical based on Roald Dahl's 1982 book James and the Giant Peach, with Timothy McDonald as bookwriter, choreography by Pilobolus Dance Theatre, and new songs by composer Paul Williams. The production will combine physical theater traditions with a work of the golden age of musicals and accompanying educational and outreach activities.
