FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Theater To support a free, statewide residency tour of a new play to underserved Arkansas communities, with accompanying outreach activities. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Challenge America To support EARQUAKE!, a series of concerts targeting elementary school students. The concerts will incorporate a full orchestra, performances by the Western Arkansas Ballet, video projection, and audience participation. Cellist Stephanie Lemoine will be the featured musician. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Challenge America To support Filmfest activities including regional premieres of independent feature films, short film showcases, and panel discussions. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Challenge America To support performances and associated master classes for youth by the USA Ballet. As many as 40 students from Hope and the surrounding area will be selected to participate in the program that will include public performances for audiences in Southwest Arkansas. FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Design To support the printing and distribution of Visioning Rail Transit in Northwest Arkansas:Lifestyle and Ecologies. The printed publication will help mobilize support for rail transit among stakeholders in the region and will help centralize the role of good design and smart growth planning in an area that doesn't have a strong planning tradition.
