Local Arts Agencies

Americans for the Arts, Inc.

To support a series of Animating Democracy professional development workshops. Americans for the Arts will work with five local arts agencies to highlight best practices in using the arts to exemplify democratic principles.

New Orleans, LA

To support the Greater New Orleans Arts Marketing Project. The training program will address the short- and long-term marketing audience development needs of New Orleans arts organizations.

Arts Foundation of Cape Cod
Centerville, MA

To support New Markets for Cape Cod Artists. The series of marketing and business development training opportunities for regional artists will include workshops, individual technical assistance, and a conference focused on best practices and collaborations.

Arts Orange County
Santa Ana, CA

To support the expansion of OCArtSource.org. The redesigned centralized arts and culture Web site and an accompanying marketing campaign will provide comprehensive access to Orange County artistic offerings.

ArtServe Michigan, Inc.
Southfield, MI

To support a series of workshops focused on arts leadership and management for Michigan arts and cultural organizations. The series of regional and statewide seminars, workshops, and individual learning experiences will be conducted by arts administration professionals, including John McCrann and Merianne Liteman.

Bronx Council on the Arts, Inc.

To support the Bronx Artist Stabilization Enterprise (BASE). A capacity-building program, BASE will include a workshop series open to qualified Bronx artists and an opportunity for selected artists to work directly with a consultant.

Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance

To support PhillyFunGuide.com, an online entertainment events calendar, and FunSavers, a weekly e-mail program offering last-minute, discount tickets. The two programs are viewed as national models for joint calendars and information distribution.

Los Angeles County Arts Commission
Los Angeles, CA

To support the Arts for Survival Initiative. Through the regional planning initiative, the Commission will research and develop mechanisms through which the arts can continue to respond to the homelessness crisis in Los Angeles County.

Lubbock Arts Alliance, Inc.
Lubbock, TX

To support the development of a cultural district plan for Lubbock, Texas. The project will further enhance the downtown redevelopment efforts currently underway.

Queens Council on the Arts, Inc.

To support the Artist Empowerment Initiative. The mentoring and professional development program is designed to support and sustain high-caliber, emerging individual artists.

Regional Cultural and Performing Arts Development Commission (aka Regional Arts Commission)
St. Louis, MO

To support a marketing initiative for St. Louis arts organizations. The project is designed to assist arts organizations in the St. Louis region to increase the effectiveness of their marketing efforts in order to expand and diversify audiences.

Shreveport Regional Arts Council (Consortium)

To support Ready the Arts for E-Commerce. In partnership with the Bossier Arts Council, project activities will include a series of marketing assessments and workshop training to enable constituent organizations to use a newly developed cultural arts Web site and centralized e-ticketing.

South Dakotans for the Arts (Consortium)

To support the Prairie Arts Management Institute (PAMI). In partnership with the Missouri Association of Community Arts Agencies, PAMI will provide professional development to chief executive officers and staff of small and mid-sized arts organizations.

Washington State Arts Alliance Foundation
Seattle, WA

To support the establishment of Peer Coaching Leader Circles. A professional development program for arts organizations' staff, the project will be introduced in regions throughout the state of Washington.
