To support the 2007 American Folk Festival. The event showcases performances by national and regional artists and will include music, singing, dancing, and workshops.

To support a theater arts residency program in rural Maine. The series of week-long classroom residencies will focus on the creation and performance aspects of Chinese shadow theater puppetry.

To support student matinees, free theater programs, and youth internships. The project will provide access to theater presentations for diverse and underserved populations of children and adults in a rural and economically depressed region of Maine.

To support a Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program. The project will support basketmakers and apprentices in the ancient traditions of ash and sweetgrass basketry among the Passamaquoddy, Maliseet, and Penobscot tribes in Maine.

To support the development of a site-specific dance choreographed by Alison Chase. The project will take place at the historic Settlement Granite Quarry preserve in Deer Isle, Maine.

To support the development and production of a new play. A partnership  with the Maine Historical Society, Longfellow: A Life in Words by Daniel Noel will be produced with artistic director Anita Stewart coordinating the collaboration between the playwright and visiting artists.

Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts

To support the MudMobile, a van comprising a mobile ceramics gallery and resource center. The traveling services will include visits to as many as 24 schools throughout Maine in support of ceramics workshops at elementary and middle schools and artist residencies in four rural high schools.

To support Building Bridges, a visual arts mentoring program. Organized in partnership with the Island Institute, teenage youth who live on isolated islands in Penobscot Bay off Maine's mid-coast will be paired with professional artist-mentors to develop skills in painting and drawing.
