ARKANSAS Arkansas Arts Council Little Rock, AR $555,500 CATEGORY: Partnership FIELD/DISCIPLINE: State & Regional To support Partnership Agreement activities. Arkansas Repertory Theatre Company (aka The Rep) Little Rock, AR $20,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Theater To support the world premiere of a new play with music that explores the events surrounding the 1957 desegregation of Central High School in Little Rock. Tentatively titled The Legacy Project, the production will be part of a community-building, multi-year artistic and audience development program. Arkansas State University State University, AR $25,000 CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Folk and Traditional Arts To support the Arkansas Folklife Program. The project will include fieldwork, public presentations, and technical assistance to organizations and individuals.
