To support a collaborative planning and design process with Madison area citizens. Community members, elected and appointed officials, local government staff, developers and design professionals will create a neighborhood plan to improve the quality of their built environment.

To support a publication that documents a collaborative emergency preparedness project. The Inevitable: Earthquake Los Angeles Volume 2 will present effective disaster responses using design innovations and solutions.

To support the Architecture and Design Project Series. Exhibitions will introduce current design and architectural debates to visual arts, design, and general audiences.

To support a "green roof" exhibit, student workbook, and discovery program. The project will raise awareness and promote the "green roof," a rooftop garden or landscape, as a tool for providing needed green space in urban communities.

Confluences (aka Confluence Project)

To support a landscape art installation by Maya Lin at Sacajawea State Park. The installation will be located at the confluence of the Snake and Columbia rivers, part of the homelands of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla, and a location that Lewis and Clark passed through.

To support a competition for the master plan of a "green" arts campus in Clark County, Indiana. Modeled after an arts campus in North Carolina, the project will use methane gas from a nearby landfill to provide energy for art studios and businesses.

To support the design and production of a site-specific architectural installation. The project will create a public venue at the P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center and provide exposure to emerging architects and designers.

To support the exhibition "Powerhouse New Housing New York," a showcase of the New Housing New York Legacy Project, a competition for affordable housing design.

The weekend event tours all five boroughs and provides access to buildings and facilities not typically open to the public, such as an MTA subway substation and the Rockefeller Center rooftop garden.

To support the 1% Solution, a network for architecture professionals to pledge one percent of their billable hours to pro bono work. Using an interactive Web site, willing architects will be connected with not-for-profit organizations and communities seeking design services.

School of the Building Arts

To support Masters of the Building Arts, a festival presenting the skills of master craftspeople. World-renowned artisans with experience in carpentry, masonry, ornamental metalworking, plasterwork, stonework, and timber framing will participate in the festival.

Tennessee State Museum Foundation

To support a design competition for a structure to house Red Grooms' Tennessee Fox Trot Carousel, a 36 figure carousel that depicts Nashville's history.  This new pavilion will house the public art piece on the grounds of the new Tennessee State Museum.
