To support the Emerging Programs Capacity Building Project. A series of guides, consulting programs, and a training institute will assist new members with organizational infrastructure development.

To support the ArtsLiteracy Project. In preparation for their classroom residencies, teachers and artists will attend professional development workshops, led by program staff, that are designed to increase literacy of youth through the study of performing and visual arts.

Community Musicworks (aka CMW)

To support free music education and performance programs targeted to at-risk children and youth. Residency activities by the Providence String Quartet will include after-school group class instruction, performances at community venues, bi-monthly performances with students, and classes to train older students as teaching assistants.

To support a consortium project for the production of the FirstWorksProv Festival 2006. The series of New England performance premieres will be produced in partnership with the City of Providence and extend into communities through forums, workshops, lectures, and discounted admissions.

To support a series of actor training workshops. In Project Langston, artist-trainers will use the play A Tribute to Langston Hughes to develop and refine the creative skills of local actors.

To support six-week writing workshops for teens at inner-city branch libraries. Their work will be displayed alongside the work of published Rhode Island poets on buses throughout the state.

To support state-wide community outreach performances. Ensembles of orchestra musicians will perform family concerts throughout the state, culminating with an orchestral concert in Providence.

To support a consortium project for occupational apprenticeships. A partnership with Woonasquatucket Valley Community Build (aka The Steel Yard), the project will offer apprenticeships in furniture making, blacksmithing, wax bronze casting, stone carving, and slate roofing.

Yoricks Productions (aka Yorick's Marionette Theater)

To support the Young at Heart Tour. Activities will take place at senior centers and will include marionette performances, lecture-demonstrations, and puppet making workshops.
