To support the creation of Beneath the Strata/Disappearing, a site-specific installation-performance. The work will be installed and performed at A Studio in the Woods, an artist retreat located in the coastal Louisiana bottomland hardwood forest.

To support performances and residencies by jazz musicians. Plans include premieres of new works by Mark Feldman, Richard Landry, and Hannibal Lokumbe; and a performance by Dave Murray and the Gwo-Ka Masters, melding jazz with Caribbean rhythms. Outreach activities include programs for seniors and students.

To support a twelve-week design apprenticeship program in millinery. Approximately 20 area youth, ages 14-24, will learn the technical skills of design and construction from master milliner Tracy Thomason and other guest artists.
