To support performances scheduled on the Uptown/Downtown series. The Center will present renowned jazz pianist Muhal Richard Abrams, a ballet oratorio by Jay Weigel, and dance performance group Urban Bush Women.

Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra

CATEGORY: Access to Artistic Excellence  FIELD/DISCIPLINE: Music 
To support the New Orleans International Composers Competition. Funds are requested for the selection process and the final performance of works by the three composer finalists.

National Performance Network, Inc.

To support the creation of work and dance touring. The project will include dance residencies and related educational and outreach activities throughout the United States.

To support the third annual Southern New Plays Festival. The festival will feature staged readings and world premiere productions of new work by emerging Southern playwrights and a playwriting competition for high school students.
