To support continuation of the Fledgling Films program. The project
will include a 21-day intensive Summer Institute, 15 days of summer
"Seedling" film workshops, ten days of in-school residencies, the
Fledgling Film Festival and a Fledgling Film Series of
screenings.

Flynn Theatre for the Performing Arts, Ltd. (on behalf of
Burlington Discover Jazz Festival)

To support artist residencies and performances at the Burlington
Discover Jazz Festival. Educational activities will include a jazz
scholar-in-residence, pre-performance lectures and dialogues with
the performing artists.

To support the Made in Vermont Music Festival Tour, a series of
educational activities and community concert programs in
underserved rural communities. The project will tie community
concerts to children's concerts in 10 communities.

To support the statewide Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Program.
The program encourages the preservation of living traditional arts
by funding master artists to work with apprentices in order to pass

To support professional development workshops for teachers, on-line
arts mentoring and extension of the Summer Institute to include
students. Program levels will be enhanced by project assessments
and increased dissemination to K through 12th-grade teachers and
students.
North Bennington

To support the Arts Education Partnership and Outreach Initiative.
Developed with local schools and social service agencies, the
initiative matches five- to 18-year-olds with artists and arts
programming at various school and community sites during the school
day, after school and in the summer.
Weston
Weston Playhouse Theatre
Weston, VT

$40,000
To support expansion of the theater's education and outreach
programs for intergenerational, rural and underserved audiences.
Programming will include summer production internships, a program
of training and onstage experience for young performers, school
matinees and annual statewide teacher workshops.
